{"id":8215,"date":"2024-06-04T15:25:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T08:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitechasean.com\/?p=8215"},"modified":"2024-07-02T16:11:37","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T09:11:37","slug":"boi-plan-targets-data-centres-cloud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digitechasean.com\/th\/boi-plan-targets-data-centres-cloud\/","title":{"rendered":"BOI plan targets data centres, cloud"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;8216&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1719905598034{padding-top: 10px !important;}&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]The Board of Investment (BOI) is speeding up a plan to promote investment in data centres and cloud services in Thailand, in line with global trends and the government&#8217;s policy to support digital technology.<\/p>\n<p>Data centres and cloud services are important to support businesses on digital platforms and the country&#8217;s plan to promote artificial intelligence, said Narit Therdsteerasukdi, secretary-general of the BOI.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Data centres and cloud services will serve as key infrastructure for digital business development,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>The BOI said tech companies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google and Microsoft, are interested in investing in Thailand because of the government&#8217;s clear policy to support data centre development and attractive investment incentive packages.<\/p>\n<p>The board has approved 37 investment project proposals, including the construction of data centres and cloud service-related businesses.
